“I am the ultimate jewelry lover, and an authority on all things style and jewelry.”
Geo-politically speaking, the world feels upside down at the moment. But from my vantage point as a jewelry editor, stylist and brand consultant, the S/S 2022 runways were right on point. Offering everything from sleek minimalism to bohemian flair, many fashion houses flexed their design muscles after two long years of navigating their businesses through the COVID-19 pandemic.
As a jewelry and style editor, the questions I am asked most often after each runway season are: (1) how do I translate the vibes of the runway into wearable looks; and (2) what are the best jewelry pieces for each type of look. After checking out the S/S 2022 runway season, I found wonderful examples of the three major approaches to style — The Minimalist, The Maximalist and The Bohemian. And after perusing the gorgeous gold offerings on Auvere.com, I discovered several must-have pieces of high karat gold jewelry that pair perfectly with each style approach. Scroll down to see how I pair Auvere’s high karat gold pieces with real-life fashion inspired by the runway.

The Runway Look
Grace Wales Bonner’s sophisticated and cool S/S 2022 Wales Bonner collection gives us all the feels. Think beautiful tailoring, pinstripes, a 1970s vibe, and luxurious knitwear. Every look is right up the fashion alley of The Minimalist.
The Real Life Look
The key to achieving the pared down approach of The Minimalist is to look for pieces with clean lines and organic shapes. I recommend pulling a tailored blazer over a dress or donning an oversized buttoned-down over wide leg trousers. Throw on a pair of Fisherman sandals for a casual and effortless feel.
The Jewelry Pairing
There are two elements to consider when pairing jewelry with minimalist looks. The first consideration is the style of the piece. Minimalists typically look for clean, simple jewelry design without ornamentation. The second consideration is how much jewelry to wear at once. True “dyed-in-the-wool” minimalists would limit their jewelry to one or two pieces at a time, but some rules are meant to be broken, right? Auvere’s clean and sleek 22 and 24 karat gold pieces cater to the Minimalist’s pared down approach to style, so I see no harm pairing a stack of the geometrically shaped Octavia Stack Rings with The Hoop Earring XS and the ultra-major Double Link Bracelet Heavy. And there’s always room for the personal touch of Auvere’s Initial Pendant Large.
I love these pieces for The Minimalist too.

THE MAXIMALIST

The Runway Look
Julien Dossena’s dreamy S/S 2022 Paco Rabanne collection gave us a lot of bold ideas to emulate this season. From striking prints and chunky gold adornments to dripping sequins and fringe beading, Paco Rabanne delivered the perfect collection for the intrepid Maximalist.
The Real Life Look
To get the look of this spring’s Paco Rabanne collection, layering is important. Consider wearing a bright patterned tunic by itself or over pants or a pantsuit in a bold print and embellished loafers. When mixing prints, patterns and textures, make sure that look has a unifying color story. Just remember that while the fashion choices of a Maximalist may be bold and unexpected, she is no mad hatter.
The Jewelry Pairing
The only thing The Maximalist is afraid of when it comes to piling on the gold is the phrase “less is more.” Paco Rabanne’s S/S 2022 runway collection provides the ultimate lesson in how to pile on your baubles for day or evening. To make this look your own, think colored stones, diamonds, and chunky shapes. In addition to offering solid 22 and 24 karat gold pieces, Auvere offers a number of chunky 22 karat gold and diamond pieces as well as a few 24 karat gold rings with colored stones. For the perfect Maximalist jewelry pairing, I recommend the Golden Apex 24K Ring Hammered, the Praying Mantis Diamond Ring Wide, the Byzantium 24K Ring Turquoise, the Byzantium 24K Ring Rubies, and the Floral Eye Signet Ring Pave.
The Maximalist will enjoy these pieces as well.

THE BOHEMIAN

The Runway Look
I have to admit that I fell head over heels in love with several of the carefree and romantic pieces in Veronica Etro’s S/S 2022 Etro collection. This season, Etro combines the house’s signature paisley prints with gorgeous flowy silhouettes in luscious earth tones to create a collection that is sure to appeal to the spirited Bohemian.
The Real Life Look
To get this boho look, think organic and geometric shapes that have a statement quality to them. Consider a soft chiffon dress in a low key, earthy color palette paired with gladiator sandals. For a more youthful look, wear a matching crop top and hot pants with your favorite sleeveless duster.
The Jewelry Pairing
The Bohemian approach to jewelry is often an eclectic (and even eccentric) one. A little bit of this and a smattering of that mixed together with a bit of flair makes for a perfect Boho look. Auvere has a number of solid 22 karat gold pieces that fit the bill quite well, including these Boho jewelry staples: Big Love Hoop Earring L, the Peace Sign Pendant & Chain, the Love is Love Bracelet, and the Slash Ring Satin.
The Bohemian should also consider these Auvere 22 karat gold pieces.
