Ring Sizing

We offer two ways for you to determine your ring size. Remember to measure your fingers at the end of the day when they’re at their largest. Note that cold weather can shrink your fingers up to half a size, so make sure they’re warm. Finally, alcohol and salt can make your fingers swell, so we suggest that you refrain from measuring them after cocktails and appetizers.

1. Measure an Existing Ring

  • Using a ring you already own that fits well, measure the inside diameter of the ring with a ruler in millimeters.
  • Note down the measurement and match it to the chart below.
  • If your size falls in-between two sizes we suggest buying the larger size.
  • Keep in mind that wider rings fit more snugly than narrow rings. It is important that the ring you measure is similar in width to the ring you plan to purchase to ensure an accurate fit.

2. Measure Your Finger

  • Wrap a thin strip of paper around your finger where you’d like your ring to be.
  • To find your best fit, make sure that the paper is pulled snugly around your finger.
  • Mark the spot where the two ends of the paper meet and measure the distance with a ruler in millimeters.
  • Use the chart below to determine your ring size.
  • If your knuckles are larger than the base of your finger, repeat the steps above to measure your knuckle size as well. If your knuckle measurement is greater than your initial finger measurement, use the knuckle size as your correct ring size.

Inspired by the pure gold jewelry worn by the wealthy denizens of the ancient Byzantine Empire, our Byzantium Ring 24K Rubies takes 24 karat gold jewelry to another level. Adorned with 5 deep red cabochon rubies totaling 3.68 carats, the Byzantium Ring 24K Rubies is a statement ring like no other, but one that we recommend wearing on special occasions unless you treasure the personal patina that comes with wearing pure, unalloyed gold on a daily basis. We like wearing this ring alone with no other jewelry accessory in sight; however, maximalist jewelry lovers may wish to style this ring with one or more of our Stoned Gold Ruby Bangles handcrafted from 22 karat gold and tipped with deep red rubies. Our Byzantium 24 Ring is also available in a polished finish with 5 turquoise cabochons and in a brushed satin finish with 5 solid gold cabochons.
A note about rubies. We use natural rubies only. Because they are not heat treated, our rubies may vary in color.
